The Avian Series is an ongoing collection of paintings in which humans and birds intermingle. There is something that strikes me as fascinating about these beautiful little creatures. They represent many things to me - freedom, wisdom, and curiosity to name a few. My intention is that the birds add an element of surprise and mystery to each painting, resulting in a dreamlike composition that explores the relationship between humanity and nature. These tiny feathered jewels add amusement and beauty to my world, and I hope to yours as well.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this series will be donated to the National Audubon Society, for their continuing work to protect our feathered friends.
